Men 5’9” & Under
Drag to Compare
Why LowLine Exists
Aman and his dad

I'm 5'5" and my dad's 5'7". We've always hated how clothes fit us.

Tees are cut for taller men, so every one we bought was either perfect on top and too long in the body, or perfect length but ridiculously tight on the chest. Don't even get me started on the sleeves.

We tried tailors. We tried buying the smallest size. We tried tucking up the hem. None of it worked.

The few options out there barely solved the problem. Poor fabric, a fortune in shipping, and even when one did fit it had no style — so it never felt right to wear anyway.

So I decided to cut the pattern myself, specifically for men 5'9" & under.

Two men, one problem, a generation apart. That's who LowLine is for. Any man who's had the same struggle and wants a solution.

To get started, find your size.

How It's Made

Fabric Foundation

Fabric Foundation

Long-staple cotton, compact-spun into engineered yarn for a denser, smoother weave.

The result: a fabric with higher tensile strength, less surface pilling, and a hand-feel that holds its shape wash after wash — without stiffness or shine.

Colour & Longevity

Colour & Longevity

Garments are dyed using fibre-reactive bonding — pigment fuses chemically with the cotton rather than sitting on the surface.

Followed by an enzyme finish that softens the fabric and strips surface fuzz. Colour stays richer, fading is minimised, and the tee retains its depth.

Structural Integrity

Structural Integrity

Reinforced stabilising tape runs along the shoulder seams and neckline — anchoring the most stressed points of construction.

Combined with double-needle hems and ladder stitching at the shoulders, the tee resists twisting, collar deformation, and the slow loss of shape that defines a cheap shirt.

Comfort Engineering

Comfort Engineering

A multi-stage wash — pre-shrunk, enzyme-treated, silicone-finished — softens the fabric at the fibre level without compromising breathability or weight.

Worn from day one, it feels like a tee you’ve owned for years. Worn for years, it still holds the shape it had on day one.

The Fit

• Reduced body length — sits at the hip, not the thigh
• Optimised chest-to-shoulder ratio for shorter frames
• Sleeves cut to end at mid-bicep, not the elbow

Size Standard LowLine Reduction
S 27¼"–28" 25¼" 2"–2¾"
M 28¼"–29¼" 25¼" 3"–4"
L 29¼"–30¼" 26¼" 3"–4"
XL 30"–31¼" 26¼" 3¾"–5"

Broad sizes (BS–BXL) are cut ½" longer than the corresponding letter to allow give through the midsection.

Published body lengths for Gildan Softstyle 64000 and Stanley/Stella Creator, measured shoulder to hem, laid flat.

The Specification

• Body: 100% long-staple combed cotton
• Neck rib: 95% cotton, 5% elastane — stretches easily over your head and springs back into shape
• 180 GSM — substantial drape, no see-through
• Pre-shrunk, enzyme-washed, silicone-finished
• Reinforced shoulder taping + invisible ladder stitching
• Single-needle throughout
• No label. The size is printed inside the neck, tone on tone — nothing scratching, nothing poking out the back and barely visible.

Care Guide

We cut it to fit after the first wash, so the fit lasts as long as the tee does. Give it one wash before you judge it.

Machine wash at 30° on a gentle cycle, inside out, with similar colours.

Lay flat to dry — avoid the tumble dryer to preserve fit and fabric integrity.

Iron on low if needed. Do not bleach.

Looked after properly, your LowLine tee is built to hold its shape and colour for an extended period of time.

Common Questions

I'm 5'10" or taller — is this for me?

Unfortunately, no. Every size is graded for men 5'3"–5'9". Above that the body will sit shorter than you're used to.

I'm between sizes, or broad through the chest.
Take the Broad version. Broad is cut wider through the chest and midsection at the same body length as its corresponding standard size. Standard is the tailored cut.

How does it compare to a tee I already own?
It doesn't, it's better, as it's built specifically for you. Open The Fit above. The table shows body length per size against a standard tee, so you can measure one you already wear and see the difference before you order.

Why £32.99 for a t-shirt?
Because nothing here is a standard block shortened at the hem. The patterns were drawn from scratch for men 5'9" and under — eight blocks across two fit lines — so length, sleeves, shoulder and neck are cut for your proportions.

The build matches: 180 GSM combed cotton, pre-shrunk and enzyme-washed, a 1x1 rib collar that holds its shape, ladder-stitched shoulders with shoulder tape, and a heat-transfer label instead of a tag. Free shipping, free returns and a fit guarantee are in the price.

A tee built to this spec sits well above £32.99. We priced the first batch lower on purpose: Founders' Pricing rewards the men who back LowLine first. When the batch is gone, the price moves.
